Julian Kosanovic is a musician with performing, composing, arranging, and teaching experience.

Their current musical focus is polyrhythmic rock jazz group Human Ottoman (2016-present) playing lead electric cello. Having played cello for over 20 years, they have played in several ensembles ranging from symphonies such as the Willamette Falls Symphony (2011-2016) and the Portland State University Symphony (2010-2014), to smaller groups such as the Bridge City String Quartet (2014-2016) and Three For Silver (2013-present), to the cello rock group Portland Cello Project (2014-2018). Julian holds a Bachelor’s of Music in Cello Performance having studied under Hamilton Cheifetz from 2010-2014. When they aren’t playing music, they can be found working as a data engineer or teaching computer and music classes.
